GCSE Religious Education > Nature of God - Problems Understanding God

God is a spiritual, not a physical reality so he can't be directly observed or measured.

God can only be known by faith - there can be no absolute proof of his existence.

We are limited by time but God made time

Our lives are governed by natural laws (e.g. gravity) of the universe.

But God exists outside the constraints of the physical universe.

We therefore struggle to understand God!
